HANNAH CAMRON, widow of DUNCAN CAMRON, dec'd to JOHN CAMPBELL, Amherst County, for 10 pounds, no acres given -- her dower in Piney River tract. Lines: George GILLEPSIE, grantee, MOSES WRIGHT.
DUNCAN CAMRON's wife was HENRIETTA, not HANNAH. Maybe this is a different DUNCAN, though DUNCAN CAMRON JR married a POLLY PROFFITT in 1801. I'm guessing HENRIETTA also went by HANNAH. This is GEORGE GILLESPIE, father of 12 other GILLESPIES in Amherst County. He died in 1803. I'm not sure who this MOSES WRIGHT is, or who JOHN CAMPBELL is.

JOHN CAMDEN, THOMAS PENN, & JESSE WRIGHT, Amherst County, to JOHN CAMPBELL, Piney River - Nov. 1805, conditional decree in favor of JOHN BROWN, surviving partner of ALEXANDER SPEARS & JOHN BROWN & Co., agent HENRIETTA CAMRON, widow of DUNCAN CAMRON; DANIEL HUNTER & wife PEGGY; DUNCAN & ANDREW CAMRON, EDWARD CAMPBELL & wife FRANCES; MARY CAMRON; THOMAS CASH & wife JANE, ALLEN CAMRON, DINAH CAMRON, DANIEL CAMRON & ROBERT CAMRON, legatees of DUNCAN CAMRON and above grantors authorised to sell to JOHN CAMPBELL was was the highest bidder - 377 acres Piney at 72-11 pounds.
THOMAS CASH and his wife JANE CAMRON are my direct ancestors. I've seen many places where it is published that they were married on 15 Sep 1806, which never seemed very possible to me, given that they had children born well before then. Seeing this deed, it all becomes more clear. I'm guessing once upon a time, someone recorded that they were married before 15 Sep 1806 and as that data moved around the internet, the before was dropped. This caused some researches to change the dates of birth of at least one of THOMAS and JANE's children, specifically READY CASH, who is another direct ancestor of mine. His birth date is recorded many places as 1807, although most of the census data I have for him supports that he was born in 1799. Bad data is everywhere!

CORNIELUS NEVIL & wife AILSEY, & MARY NEVIL, Amherst County, to JAMES MURPHY, Amherst County, for 496-10 pounds, 165 and 1/2 acres S fork Rockfish. Part of tract under will of JAMES NEVIL - N side & joining S fork Rockfish. Lines: NORBORN THOMAS, ZACH. NEVIL. Wit: SAMUEL JONES, SAMUEL HANSBROUGH, JONES GILL, LEWIS NEVIL, JERE YAGER, DUNCAN CAMRON, REUBEN B. PATTERSON, JOHN CREWS. Original delivered to JAMES MURPHY, 10 Feb 1807.
I am assuming that this DUNCAN CAMRON is the son of DUNCAN CAMRON and HENRIETTA, husband of POLLY PROFFITT.
